Center for Social Fermentation is the studio of Byungseo Yoo, a Korean-born visual artist based in Geneva.

The center does few things.

1. It runs scientific and speculative research — and treats the research itself as something to be performed, with others.
2. It produces work: exhibitions, programs, situations.
3. It publishes what it learns.
4. It builds tools — mostly qualitative — to figure out whether any of it worked.
5. It gets lost. Most of the time.
